My gift card expired because I forgot I had it. I called the useless phone number on the Cardholder Agreement that was inside of the wrapper. The customer care service rep said they didn’t have the authorization to reissue the card, but they had no phone number to refer me to. The card was for $50!! I want to find someone to talk to, but it is proving futile.
Why do the cards expire? Some has paid money for them. That money should be available to the card holder or it should be refunded to the card purchaser.
we purchased a $50 gift card to use as a gift some time ago and forgot that we had it. Found it and checked the balance and it was zero. Read the fine print and it stated that if it isn’t used for some period of time that $2.00 per month will be deducted. While true that we made a mistake, a $50 penalty seems grossly unfair.
I cannot find a place to register. How do I register for Mygiftcardssite?
I had one of these gift cards given to me by my nephew he paid $50 for it when I checked the balance it was only $22 and no matter how many times a call even though I’ve never used the card they tell me they have submitted a request for refund still has not happened but continue to tell me that more money will be deducted at the same time this card is horrible they are taking people’s money and ripping off the receiver I will definitely make sure to tell everyone I know not to purchase
Will NEVER buy a VISA or MC gift card again. I received a $100 MC gift card as a gift and hadn’t used it until months after I received it. When I went to use it there was only $50 on the card. I called the 800# several times and was clearly given the run around. I filed paperwork that apparently they threw away, received a new card that said it had the $50 on it but it had zero money on it and then was told that the case had been closed and that they’d send new paperwork for me to fill out. Never received new paperwork. Such an unprofessional experience. Are the customer care reps even trained? And I used to love getting and giving these as gifts. I will be forwarding my experience to all of my friends and family and warning them against these cards.
Forgot to mention that their website is ZERO help. So you can’t talk to anyone who will help and you cannot write to anyone for help. Awesome.
Yeah well this is a ripoff visa card cause I loaded five hundred on a visa gift card at Safeway and it was great until I didn’t use it for a day and a half. I had 171.73 last I used it then when I tried again to use it I had nothing . Yet I never made not one purchase after the balance was 171.73. when I called to ask why I get this lady telling me it would be up to 90 days after I filed a written complaint with the company. Wow. Then when I seen that the transactions were in another state on my card I though what in the …..well I was angry to say the least. But still have to file a complaint because they messed up . Surely I can’t be in two separate states right.
When clearing out my drawer I came across a gift card with the activation sticker still in place. I do not remember if I ever activated it or used it. I tried to log in on website reply was card information could not be verified. I also called 866 952 5653 gave card information could not found What phone number can I call to speak with someone to find out for sure if this card is still valid? Any help greatly appreciated Thank you
Raul, that’s the correct phone number. Instead of following the automated voice that prompts you to selected 1 or 2, just let all of that play and eventually you’ll get to customer service. A lot of crap I know, but that’s the way I finally got through to them. Hope this helps, because they surely didn’t!!!
