Amazon Customer Service Phone Numbers.

Amazon’s customer service is no longer completely automated. You can now reach a real person through live chat, email or on the phone.

If you use the email form, you will also get an option for the company to call you back in 5 minutes on your home number. Order tracking, payment accounts and delivery address management is still automated though your Amazon account, however.

Amazon’s main customer service phone number for the U.S. or Canada is 1-866-216-1072.
The average wait is 4 minutes.
The customer care line is open for 24 hours, 7 days a week.
TIP: When you call Amazon, don’t press or say anything OR press 0.

Amazon also has an online automated system set up, which can be found at the official  Help Page. Scroll down the page and hover over “Need More Help?” for more options. Click on “Contact Us” to fill in the email form.

Actually Amazon does provide this service at their US website in the Contact Us section. Choose your category and issue and you will arrive at the ‘Chat’ option.

  17. For well over a year and despite talking to Amazon representatives on at least 4 occasions my account remains blocked because of a perceived ‘suspicious activity’. No solution has ever been found and it is frustrating in the extreme. I have already notified you that no data will ever be relayed or permitted to be used by any company/ organisation/ credit score in fact anyone. Your company and departments included. As for the law as it stands prior to EU laws Britain had its own laws and part of them laws was that if you feel your data is unsafe any said data can be removed to prevent fraudulent action occurring in your name. Now we have left the EU those laws are now legal standing in British laws and not EU ones from the now past. So your email stating a parcel was lost violates my legal rights. I checked my bank account yesterday and they had charged me for Amazon Prime which I hadn’t ordered they did the same thing last month and added audible books to my account.   45. Amazon is the biggest pain in my ass. I’m a software developer and musician and own a music studio. I build software for A.I. IOT and Smart Devices, and build Apps for (integration with) Uber and other Logistics systems. Since I scheduled with Uber, almost all my private information was stored on AWS web services and since then I’ve not heard anything from Uber. I did not get any delivery gear for Uber Eats and the AWS-Uber service desk is not responsive. I happened to know Uber is integrating AWS services so I blame Amazon for the breach on my privacy. Aside from breaching my privacy, Amazon unfairly competes in the field of A.I. IOT and Smart Devices. As a good engineer, I have better ideas about A.I. IOT and Smart Devices and Privacy and Zero Knowledge. Jeff Bezos will have a serious competitor if he does not watch out, eventually technological innovation and respect for other people will go a much longer way than just crushing people.

  46. i am having serious issues retrieving a refund for a item i returned because it was not plug and play…every time i call the customer service people i get a new person every time and i have to start explaining from day 1 what my issue is…this is so frustrating …they told me i had to respond to an email within 24 hrs for the process to continue so i did…i also called the help centre and confirmed they received my email which was time sensitive…they saw it on their end and agreed that they got it….i waited a week for them to respond back to me with no call or email….i contacted them and after once again explaining my whole story to a new person she told me my case was rejected from a-z guarantee because i did not respond by email in time….these people seem lost with no guidance…BUYER BEWARE

  53. I’m being charged again for something that I returned over 3 months ago using amazon return service and I’m unable to access the tracking number to confirm whether it was delivered or not.
    I’m only allowed to check return for the past 2 months !!! The shirt was returned in December again following Amazon’s rules and return service.
    I need to be able to file a claim with UPS if they lost my package, I can’t be hold responsible without any way to file a claim with the faulty carrier.

    Please provide the access to the tracking information and proof the package has not been delivered.

  56. My most recent encounter with the customer service representative, and her supervisor, was awful! The first one I spoke with was unable to speak clearly, very broken English, tried to combine a call with UPS and when she went to connect us the UPS lady said the customer service rep didn’t say what she had actually said. Requested to speak with a manager, none available of course. A supervisor came on she was totally scripted, no, no can’t help, no unable to do that. Had no viable explanation at all. UPS told me there was no name on my package. I ask why my name wasn’t on my package, she says cause you didn’t put it in. How much sense does that make? I can’t even change the name if I wanted to let alone not put a name in! I asked to speak with her manager, she laughs and says she can’t give that number…….what? Who does this? I want to talk to someone that can do more than read “NO” and I “CAN’T/WONT” help, off of a page. Is it too much to ask for someone else that you can understand? So very frustrated.

To try and find out how to share a book to the kindle that I bought my mom, the girl could not help me, she was located in the Phillipines, hard to understand, I am sure there are people in the good Old United States that would love to have a job, instead of you out sourcing out of the country.
